SANDHILLS MOORE COALITIONS FOR HUMAN CARE
SandhillsMoore-Coalition-for-Human-Care is reaching out to local victims of Hurricane Matthew. They have a county wide reach, work with 75 area churches to meet the emergency needs of Moore County neighbors, also supported by the United Way of Moore County, many service organizations and businesses, as well as individuals throughout the community.
“We have already seen many who have been displaced from the flooded areas. Looks like the primary needs are food, clothes, water, personal hygiene items (laundry detergent, soap, etc). toiletries. They can bring them to either location. 1500 W. Indiana Ave is Client Services, but hard to find. Most are familiar with The Resale Shops at 1117 W. Pennsylvania Ave in Southern Pines. They accept donations Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 4 pm.

-Sandhills Food Bank is collecting items at Vass-Lakeview Elementary School, Pinehurst Elementary and West Pine Elementary.
-Robeson County Sherrif’s Office 120 Legend Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358 Address for the command center!
-Rockingham Fire Dept. Is collecting donations of bottled water, infant formula, hygiene items, juice, clothes, baby bottles, blankets, first aid kits, latex and non-latex gloves, socks, underwear, adult and baby diapers and wipes. Phone # 910-997-4002. Donations accepted until Friday. Address is 231 S. Lawrence St.

-The Seven Lakes Fire and Rescue Station on Seven Lakes Drive has agreed to be a collection site for people interested in donating water and non-perishable food items to assist the victims of flooding from Hurricane Matthew. Drop off Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8:30-6:30 — Call 910-585-1912 for questions. All donations will be provided to the American Red Cross for disbursement.
– The Eagle Springs Fire department in Moore County will be taking donations for the hurricane victims. Their address is 1932 Hwy 211 Eagle Springs, NC they will take donations 7 days a week from 8am – 5pm. Call before you go just to make sure they are not on a call. (910)-673-5673
-Aberdeen Fire & Rescue Department is a donation site for UNC Carolina Air Care. They are looking for Non Perishible food items, Clothing, Water, Blankets, tooth brushes, tooth paste, other toiletries & monetary donations. If you’d like to help, you may drop off the items here Aberdeen Fire & Rescue Department anytime between 8 & 5.
-West End Elementary and our PTA will be collecting non perishable items for flood victims here in Moore County. If you are able, please bring your donations to our ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL, Friday October 14 from 4:30-7:30.
-Pinecrest High School will be collecting items for the Food Bank of NC, sponsored by the Pinecrest HS cheerleaders. They are looking for canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats and fish, canned beans and soup, cereals, oats and oatmeal, whole grain pasta and rice, peanut butter, hygiene items, household items. and paper products. Backpacks and cash donations will also be collected. This will be Friday, October 14th during their home football game.
-Family Eye Care of the Carolinas and The Optical Shoppe will be collecting DIAPERS, INFANT FORMULA and BABY FOOD to send to families affected by Hurricane Matthew. 1900 N Sandhills Blvd, Aberdeen, NC
