Driving down US1 in Aberdeen, you pass quite a few eating spots. But if you drive too quickly, you will miss a hidden gem!
Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant is a locally owned, wonderful location to have a fresh, home cooked meal. Each day they offer a special. Our visit was on a Monday afternoon. When we got there, there were only 3 other tables seated. By the time we left, they were almost full!
The special of the day was $1.99 Quesadillas. You had your choice of cheese, beef and cheese or chicken (shredded or grilled) chicken. I had the grilled chicken and cheese and added a side of rice. My friend ordered the tamales. It was served with beans and rice. Adding a side of their creamy white queso dip as an appetizer made the meal fabulous! Along with two iced teas, our total, with tip was under $15!
Something of note, the promptness of the service and the attitude of the server and the owners was exemplary. We will be returning for the $4.99 lunch fajitas on Wednesday!
